EDEN welcomes Vicki Alabraba to the team

Vicki Alabraba joins the EDEN team at Leicester Diabetes Centre (LDC) to focus on a new Multidisciplinary team (MDT) Type 1 diabetes technology clinic

 

We are delighted that Vicki Alabraba will become part of the EDEN team in June as an Education and Research Associate.

Vicki joins the team from, Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool Diabetes Partnership Community Diabetes Team.

Vicki will be developing and delivering healthcare professional (HCP) diabetes education and we are very excited to share that Vicki will be supporting the development of a new project. The new MDT virtual type 1 diabetes technology clinic will be a collaboration between secondary care and primary care networks with Pratik Choudhary.

 

Vicki Alabraba said:

“I am really excited to be joining the award winning EDEN team and LDC during this period of growth and development, with lots of exciting plans in the pipeline. Diabetes care is a true passion of mine and having been a diabetes specialist nurse for 16 years I am really looking forward to imparting my knowledge and developing my skills further in a brand new area and location.”

 

Vicki has been a diabetes specialist nurse (DSN) since 2005 and has worked across both primary and secondary care specialties in Birmingham and Liverpool. She is currently studying for her MSc in Diabetes Practice at Swansea University and is also a part of the DSN Forum UK management team and a Diabetes 101 team member.

Vicki won the QiC Diabetes Professional of the Year in 2020 after a nomination from her colleagues.
